D-Chiro-Inositol (DCI) supplements with the fewest additives
D-Chiro-Inositol may help lower testosterone in PCOS sufferers as well as improving insulin response, but many DCI supplements contain more than just the active ingredient. For example, silica or silicon dioxide are often added to prevent caking.
I try to avoid these additives because they may have questionable health effects. If you want to do the same, my suggestions for the lowest-excipient D-Chiro-Inositol supplements I've found are:
(about $1.97 per 1200mg dose with free shipping)
- silica-free / silicon-dioxide-free
D-Chiro-Inositol, capsule (made from hypromellose).
(about $2.21 per 1200mg dose with shipping)
- silica-free / silicon-dioxide-free
D-Chiro-Inositol, gelatin, magnesium stearate.
